Area of Research: Governance & Public Policy (Non-Traditional Security Threats, Climate Change, Comprehensive Security in South Asia, Strategic Stability)

Mr. Adeel Mukhtar Mirza is currently working as Assistant Research Associate at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute. He holds an M.Phil in Strategic Studies from the National Defence University, Islamabad and a Diploma in Arms Control & Strategic Studies from Strategic Studies Institute (SSII), Islamabad. His area of expertise is in the Non-Traditional Security Threats, Climate Change, Comprehensive Security in South Asia and Strategic Stability. In addition to this, he also holds extensive knowledge on the issues of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has also served at Senate of Pakistan, Senate Standing Committee on Defence, attached with Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed. Moreover, he has the privilege to participate in Visiting Research Fellowship Program at Academy of Public Administration, Baku, Azerbaijan, sponsored by Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) and to attend workshop on Nuclear Safety, Security and Safeguards sponsored by University of Tennessee and CRDF Global at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA from December 10-20, 2018.
