Educations: MS in Economics, Department of Economics, COMSATS University Islamabad Pakistan.

Area of Research: Macroeconomics, Economics Security, International Economics, Environmental Economics and Monetary Economics.

Mr. Basit Ali is a Post Graduate Economist from COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), and has previously worked as a Development Fellow at Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiative. He has a keen interest in Macroeconomic Analysis, Economic Security, International Economics, and Monetary Economics. Areas of his ongoing research include Economics Security of Pakistan, Political and Economic Instability and its impact on Pakistan Economy, IMF Stabilization Program and Macroeconomic Analysis for Pakistan. His published research work include “The Trade-off Between Household Expenditures and Smoking Expenditure: Pre and Post Smoking Awareness Ordinance in Pakistan” and “Measuring the Impact of Air Pollutants on Ecological Footprint, Forest Area and Cropland”.
