Area of Research: Strategic Studies (International Relations, Counterterrorism, Insurgency, Extremism, and Geopolitics).

Mr. Shiraz Shaikh is a graduate of International Relations from the National Defence University (NDU) and has previously worked as a Deputy Editor at Hilal Publications, ISPR. He has a keen interest in terrorism, traditional and non-traditional approaches to security, extremism, far-right and Islamic movements, and alliance politics. Areas of his ongoing research include the rise of terrorism and development in ex-FATA.
