Sarah Siddiq Aneel – Non – Resident Editor

Ms Sarah Siddiq Aneel is managing the Publications Branch at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI). In this capacity, she is Non – Resident Editor of the Clarivate Analytics’ ESCI-indexed HEC recognised X-category Social Sciences IPRI Journal in Pakistan.  

Ms Aneel has two decades of research and editorial experience in the development sector of Pakistan; and has more than 35 edited books to her credit, not to mention numerous research studies, papers and reports. Her most recent work as a book editor includes Irritants in Pakistan-Us Relations: Way Forward (2019); Seventy Years of Development: The Way Forward (2019);  Regional Dynamics and Strategic Concerns in South Asia (2018); and Changing Security Situation in South Asia and Development of CPEC (2018).

Earlier, she has been Research Coordinator of the Pakistan Environment Program (PEP) – a CIDA-funded national level environmental initiative of the Government of Pakistan, IUCN and the Sustainable Development Policy Institute. Her portfolio also includes multistakeholder program management, training module development, organisational governance, strategy formulation, conference coordination and performance reporting.

A Chevening Fellow (2008) in ‘Governance and Environmental Democracy’ and LUMS McGill Fellow (2005-06) in ‘Social Enterprise Development’, she has studied ‘Integrated Approaches to Sustainable Development Practices’ from the Earth Institute, Columbia University, USA.
