Job Title: Editorial & Advocacy Specialist
Kashoon Leeza is an Islamabad-based policy analyst. She works as Advocacy & Editorial Specialist in Islamabad Policy Research Institute. She is the Visiting Fellow at Stimson Center’s South Asia Program, 2021 Cohort. Listed amongst Young Leaders under 30 by The United Nations Foundation, she was hosted for the ‘Big Brainstorm’ focus group in Islamabad this year jointly conducted by the Tabadlab and UN Foundation.
At IPRI she is responsible for managing the institute’s speaking forums including the webinars, dialogues series, and track initiatives. She leads the Distinguished Lecture Series, an initiative aimed to host distinguished scholars, and practitioners from across the globe to share their work with the wider public on diverse and multidisciplinary topics.
Kashoon is also responsible for forging institutional partnerships with stakeholders in the policy circle. She leads the media collaborations and media coverage. Previously, she was working as a Teacher and Research Associate at the School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid- e-Azam University. She has interned with a women’s empowerment project in Turkey through AIESEC. She writes on matters of strategic importance for The Diplomat, South Asian Voices.
