Ms. Gulshan bibi is currently working as Assistant Research Associate (ARA) at Islamabad Policy Research Institute. She holds an M. Sc and M. Phil degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-i-Aza University, Islamabad. Her areas of expertise are traditional security threats and security strategy. In addition to this, she also holds extensive knowledge on the issues of non-proliferation and arms control. She has also served at Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), and National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Moreover, she has the privilege to participate in Visiting Research Fellowship Program at CRDF Nonproliferation Fellowship Programme in USA. She has also participated in 5th Annual Summer Programme on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction in a Changing World in Hague, Netherlands, and Nuclear Safety and Non-proliferation Workshop Putrajaya, Malaysia. She has been part of Track-II Dialogue between Pakistan and India organized by United States Institute for Peace (USIP) Washington DC and Regional Peace Institute (RPI) Islamabad. She presents her research in national/international conferences and regularly contributes in national/international dailies and renowned academic journals.
