Education: M.Phil. in Peace and Conflict Studies (Gold Medalist) from the National Defense University (2014). Bachelors Hons in Social Sciences from the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Sciences and Technology (2012)
Area of Research: Strategic Studies (Defense and Strategic Studies with a primary focus on the SAMECA (South Asia, Middle East and Central Asia) region. Scope of research centers on the role of Non State Actors in protracted conflicts, conflict resolution mechanisms and dispute resolution through approaches such as mediation and arbitration.)
Mr. Hamzah Rifaat Hussain is an Assistant Research Associate at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute and was previously a South Asian Voices Visiting Fellow at the Stimson Center in Washington D.C. in 2016. He is a columnist for the China Global Television Network and a former television anchor for the Pakistan Television Network.
Mr. Hamzah has served as a Graduate Research Assistant the Women’s International Perspective in Monterey California and has held various faculty positions at the National University of Sciences and Technology and Air University in Islamabad. He graduated with a Masters in Philosophy Degree from the National Defense University in the discipline of Peace and Conflict Studies with a gold medal in 2014 and holds a diploma in World Affairs and Professional Diplomacy from the Bandaranaike Diplomatic Training Institute from Colombo, Sri Lanka.
